F Tower – Fostoria, Ohio
Located at the heart of Fostoria’s famous “Iron Triangle,” the B&O’s F Tower once controlled one of Ohio’s busiest railroad junctions where the Baltimore & Ohio, Chesapeake & Ohio, and Nickel Plate Road lines crossed at grade. Built in the early 20th century and modernized after World War II, this interlocking tower served as the nerve center for routing countless freight and passenger trains through the bustling crossroads. Today, F Tower stands as a symbol of classic American railroading — a perfect addition to any layout celebrating mid-century mainline operations.
